Inspiration
Not all work places are pet friendly. We wanted to create a device that took care of your dog while at work!
What it does
Doggie Delight plays fetch, feeds, and hydrates your pooch. You can check up on your dog through a webpage, while also manually pushing buttons on the page to dispense food, dispense water, and throw tennis balls. Additionally, you can set the schedule for water and food dispensing throw the site's GUI.
How I built it
Fetch A tennis ball launcher was created using a hacked bench grinder, PIC microcontroller, solid-state AC relay, stepper motor, and h-bridge. Food Dispenser Our food dispensing mechanism used gravity to dispense food when a door was open. An arduino uno was used to control a servo which controlled the state of the door. Water Dispenser A water tank with a push/pull hand valve was the main component in the water dispensing. An arduino uno was used to control a servo which controlled the state of the valve.

What's next for Doggie Delight
There are many applications for Doggie Delight. There are plans to incorporate machine learning to train image classifiers for dogs and sending images to Wolfram Alpha to determine the dog breed. From breed information and subsequent dog size, the amount of food will be varied.
