Inspiration

The idea for Dogether came from a common struggle many people face staying consistent with simple productive habits like drinking enough water, exercising, or tidying up their room. We realized that having friends or a supportive community can really boost motivation to build positive routines. That’s why we wanted to create a platform that combines a to-do list with the fun of social collaboration and shared challenges.

What it does

Dogether is a web app designed to help users stay productive in a fun and social way. With features like to-do lists and goal tracking, users can organize their daily tasks or long-term habits that need to be repeated over time. Every accomplishment can be shared to a social feed, allowing users to showcase their progress, receive likes and comments from friends, and stay motivated together. Dogether also offers a campaign feature where groups of users can join forces to achieve shared goals within a certain timeframe. To keep the momentum going, the app provides badges and personal stats to celebrate progress and encourage habit-building. By blending social interaction with gamified elements, Dogether turns productivity into an engaging, contagious, and community-driven experience.

How we built it

The development of the Dogether app was carried out intensively over 14 days, split into two main phases: Analysis and Development. Phase 1: Analysis & Planning During the first four days, the team held a series of online meetings to shape and finalize the core idea behind Dogether. This phase included activities like brainstorming the main concept, identifying the target users and the problems we wanted to solve, analyzing the necessary features, creating the ERD and user flow, and deciding on the tech stack to use.

Phase 2: App Development ** In the following 10 days, the team focused on developing the system in a collaborative and iterative way. We also used **AI-powered assistant Bolt.ai to speed up development and help squash bugs efficiently along the way.

Challenges we ran into

During the 14-day development of the Dogether app, the team faced several challenges, such as defining the MVP features within a tight timeline and syncing the backend and frontend, which didn’t always align smoothly. The limited time also meant that manual testing couldn’t be done as thoroughly as desired. However, all these challenges were successfully tackled thanks to solid teamwork, efficient task division, and the support of an AI assistant like Bolt.ai, which helped speed up debugging and feature development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Even though it was developed in just 14 days, Dogether turned out to be a web app that’s not only functional but also brings a unique and engaging concept combining productivity with social interaction. The platform offers a wide range of features like to-do lists, goal tracking, a social feed, friend system, collaborative campaigns, achievement badges, and user statistics—all seamlessly integrated and working smoothly. One of the standout achievements was the successful implementation of the social productivity campaign feature, which allows users to complete goals together something rarely found in other to-do apps.

What's next for Dogether

After the hackathon, the next step for Dogether is to refine the concept and polish the features based on feedback from the judges and early users. The team can start by improving the MVP features, fixing bugs, and enhancing the overall user experience, especially in terms of UI/UX. It’s also important to run wider beta testing to gather more diverse feedback. If the response is positive, Dogether can move forward to full mobile app development, followed by publication on the Google Play Store and the addition of advanced features like calendar integration, smart reminders, or productivity leaderboards. On the business side, the team can explore monetization models and potential collaborations with productivity communities or like-minded investors. With a solid foundation and a clear vision, Dogether has strong potential to grow into a meaningful and sustainable social productivity platform.
