DogeKeeper was developed when Apple was very cautious about cryptocurrencies being on the App Store. Seeing how friendly the Dogecoin community was, and how there weren't any iOS apps that let people send Dogecoin, I decided that it would be fun to create an app that allows users to do so.
How it works
It connects to the user's Block.io account and allows them to use it on their iOS device to send Dogecoins. It also tracks wallets and lets you view exchange rates for the cryptocurrency.
Challenges I ran into
Getting through Apple's review process. I had to dispute my initial rejection and explain why cryptocurrencies were legal in the countries I had chosen for the app. They eventually brought my app back for an extended review after the appeal and approved it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It was the first app on the store for allowing users to send Dogecoin.
What I learned
I learned a lot about how Dogecoin and cryptocurrencies in general work.
