What it does
The webpages contain financial information including an interactive interest rate calculator, pages on budgeting, loans, debt and scams. Followed by a quiz to help the user retain the information.
How we built it
Our group of 4 split into front-end and back-end, the front-end team focused on creating the UI and allowing the user to enter information into the interactive areas. The back-end created an interest calculator and a lessons structure to easily store the information and make the expansion of the webpages very simple and easy.
Challenges we ran into
Routing data to our API from our webpage. Managing multiple state objects for our calculator and quiz.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The interactive section on interest rates include an interest calculator which takes several credit cards and allows user to experiment with different methods of repayment to develop an intuitive understanding of interest.
What we learned
Teamwork skills. Smart version control. Front-end development using React.
