Inspiration
Collectibles such as Pokemon, Magic and Baseball cards.
What it does
Allow users to upload verified documents that will confirm ownership/deeds and other official documents. Those items could be shared publically or remain private depending on the application.
How we built it
I didnt. My code ability is poor.
Challenges we ran into
Sadly I was hoping to find an adapter that would allow me to upload images into block chain easily and allow those to be viewable so that people can verify the nature of the document.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The idea of group truth consensus. If you were to create a "vault" of items you need a way to verify the accuracy of the items being present. This concept came from the idea of creating NFTs that were tied to the ownership of collectible cards. One of the issues is creating a way for people to verify on a publicly available item that it is actually in the vault. That lead to the concept of a form of group verification. The steps would work as follows: Creation of the NFT and creation of a deed of ownership of that NFT. The deed information is uploaded into the DNA for the NFT. The deed document in this case should always be viewable and saved on blockchain. The actual physical card should be available to be viewed to allow "crowd truth". This is just one potential application.
What we learned
A little more about notary publics and how chain of custody can potentially work.
What's next for Documented Truth
I am not sure. I am not much of a programmer.
