Inspiration
Grandparents have many medications, hard to remember what each one does based on just the drug name. Also, even if there are notes on the prescription left by the doctor, its hard to read.
What it does
We have a website for doctors to keep track of patients and their corresponding medications. For each patient, the doctor can generate a QR code which contains the medication details required and which can be printed and added on the container for the medication (ie. pill container).
On the patient side, we have QR code scanner app which attempts at reading the generated QR codes on the user's medications and provides an accessible way to read out-loud the information and to display in clear, visible, easy-to-read text.
How we built it
We used ASP.NET MVC to create the website and Android Studio for the mobile application.
Challenges we ran into
Sadly, we weren't able to finish the mobile app. Also we did not bring an android device to scan the QR codes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating the baseline for our product
What's next for DoctorPatientLink
Finishing mobile app, and enhancing UIs for both components. We also wanted to add a Solace Event Broker in the middle to connect the mobile and web applications. This would us to send messages on how the patient is using their medication (ie. scanned QR code)
