Inspiration
We have lived in a family with diabetes and we have seen them coping and living this disease so we want to make life easier for those who have to live with diabetes like our family and those 37 million people who have diabetes.
What it does
Doctor Diabetes is a way for diabetics to contact endocrinologists in one click because when they are not feeling well they need to contact medical service ASAP
How we built it
We built using HTML5, CSS, Github, and Tidio, a chat bot making website
Challenges we ran into
We had originally planned to use IBM Watson but we had trouble logging on to the website so we did some research and found Tidio which worked much smoother than expected and was perfect.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is one of our first hackathons and we are surprised that we finished this before the deadline at all, because we also had some events at school.
What we learned
Not everyone in our group had a lot of knowledge about diabetes, but the rest of us learned a lot about it and we also learned about the whole process of submitting a project on Devpost!
What's next for Doctor Diabetes
We plan to make it a mobile app, because if someone really needs help, they shouldn't wait for a website to load, but with an app, we can make to loading time shorter. We also additionally, plan to add endocrinologists to be monitoring the chatbot, so if someone needs help, the Doctor Diabetes' endocrinologists can rush to you immediatly.
