Inspiration

My own experience in not having enough time to go to the doctor inspired me to make this app. A lot of young adults face the same problems as me, so I thought I could provide them a solution.

What it does

It provides a list of possible diagnoses based on symptoms you have in a clean, accessible format. It acts as a quick reference to better inform you whether you need to go to the doctor or not by providing potential diagnoses which are color-coded based on severity.

How we built it

We built it using React Native, Expo, and Node, and the AI is powered by DeepSeek,

Challenges we ran into

Implementing the chatbot; this is something none of us have ever done before.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A working AI chatbot which is custom tailored to answer not only with text, but with a new, card-based format which cleanly highlights potential diagnoses.

What we learned

We got a lot of insights into the startup space and how creatives in the space view software development as opposed to what we were exposed to previously.

What's next for DocAI

If we can get funding and lift this startup off the ground, the first objective is to consult with healthcare professionals and work on and refine an algorithm based on datasets of illnesses/symptoms to further increase the app's credibility.
