DocAI, was inspired by the desire to make intelligent, accessible, and empathetic healthcare guidance available to everyone, instantly. I’ve been deeply interested in leveraging technology to improve mental and physical well-being. At the Apple Developer Academy, I contributed to building two healthcare-related applications:

One to support individuals with OCD, helping them manage repetitive behaviors.

Another to assist those with dyscalculia in managing their time and schedules more effectively with song playlists.

These experiences reinforced my passion for creating impactful digital health tools, especially those that help underserved or overlooked populations. This project felt like a natural continuation of that mission.

What I Built: DocAI is an AI-powered medical assistant chatbot designed to simulate a real doctor’s reasoning. It uses the Sonar API for deep research and iterative question-answering. The chatbot:

Asks symptom-based follow-up questions, just like a real doctor would.

Provides at-home care recommendations, precautionary advice, and personalized guidance.

Suggests relevant health articles to help users learn more.

Locates nearby healthcare services (pharmacies, clinics, dentists) using geolocation + the Google Places API.
