Inspiration

I was very impressed with Solace PubSub service and wanted to use it for my project, which is to make it easier for patients to book a doctor appointment.

What it does

I created a web application for both doctors and patients to use. Doctors can use it to publish their availability with their contact information. Patients will see all the published available timeslots from all the doctors around them and can find one that fits their schedule. Patients then can contact the doctor to book an appointment, and then publish their booking to update the doctor's availability.

How I built it

I used React, Google Maps and Solace PubSub service.

Lots of small technical challenges along the way.

The project is almost complete. I only have hosting the application left.

What's next for doc4you

Right now, the application deals with availability for each day. Availability further in the future can also be considered.
