Inspiration

Wanting a comprehensive place to track our bucket lists and inspired by the minimalism and straightforwardness of BeReal, we made an app that tries to capture that combination. The goal is to push users to make the most of their lives, expand their boundaries, and try more things just once.

What it does

Sign in and save user activity
Add items to your bucket list (skydiving, going to space, whatever you want!)
Once an item is checked off, add pictures of your experience to share with friends!
View your friends' recent bucket list experiences to gain inspiration
Customize your profile

How we built it

From scratch we build a React Native app on top of Firebase for backend and Expo for emulation. We visualized our core features and did our best to make them reality in time.

Challenges we ran into

Building for mobile is super layered and abstracted--so many errors can go wrong, and we couldn't tell what's happening sometimes. Especially with app navigation across stacks and screens.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a functional app that captures the core features we hoped for and a unique vibe, and we believe it would be worth fleshing out even more beyond HOTH!
