We based this game called horsey game. Which is the most advanced genetic game out there. It appears simple but you can manipulate the alleles to get some of the most rare creatures of horses ever. The goal of the game was genetically breed the fastest horse ever and earn the most amount of money. So we based our project on this so we can create a bunch of unique animals each with their own traits and display them in a park where they earn more money based on their traits

You can select a base creature whether it be a wolf, goldfish, or a frog and edit the different alleles and you can change its type of snout, body texture, size, color, etc. After this you can then save these new creatures under whatever name you want. The next is to breed 2 creatures together to create a unique create that has several different new traits and sometimes they can gain new abilities that you are allowed to see in the park section, which is where you display your animals.

We used GitHub repo to launch are code. We used JavaScript to write the majority of the characters trait and writing of the main code. We used some AI to help design the characters models and some of the traits of the animals.

The characters would not load into the GitHub and we had to trouble shoot the parts.js file so that it was compatible with the compositor and main js files. This included and hour and a half of back reworking in order to get the other files to be compatible with the player models

We really proud of creating an entire zoo with a system that allowed you to breed any animals together and create super unique combinations and breed those animals down. We created a bunch of secret traits that can only be discovered through breed species and testing them out in the park. Im also really happy with the way the character models turned out. Even though they are simple they achieve the job and can be used for any of the animals.

A major thing we learned was SVG manipulation — every single body part from heads and torsos to arms, legs, tails, eyes, and mouths is an individual SVG string that gets composed dynamically by the compositor. That means I can swap any part, change colors on the fly using CSS variables, and render completely unique creatures in real time without ever touching an image editor. Second, modular architecture — the entire codebase is split into dedicated files for genetics, rendering, storage, UI, and the part repository, which makes it easy to add new animals or traits without breaking everything else.

Our main goal for the future is to update the models and more replay ability. Also creating more new traits and such that can also be modified.
