DJ Music Helper

Inspiration

I'm also a DJ as a hobby and always busy with music. This tool will help me greatly in finding new music for my mixes or my podcasts.

What it does

It uses the users input to compile a new list of songs that can be used and are related to the input songs based on BPM and the key of the song. Also, only extended versions are shown as they are easy to blend into mixes.

How we built it

With PartyRock, a user prompt, a LLM and a chat to cover for small tweaks later on.

Challenges we ran into

Not a lot, only the fact that the model is trained to a certain extend and misses some more recent music

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Pretty cool how it works and actually helps DJ's to find new music for their libraries in their style.

What we learned

Learned on how to write the correct prompts for LLM's.

What's next for DJ Music Helper

Trying to see if we can build an actual app that can also preview the new songs that are shown.
