Inspiration

We've all had those days where you have a fridge full of food and no inspiration to cook with what you have. So we created this database to help you find recipes that you can make with certain ingredients.

What it does

With specific ingredient keywords, you are able to find recipes from the a wide range of stored recipes from our database. Links are also displayed to help user directly connect to the recipes.

How we built it

Using Microsoft PowerApps to host our SQL server gives us easy access to add recipes and provide links to the websites that host the instructions. PowerApps also helps us create a easy web GUI to easy browse though our database.

Challenges we ran into

Small issues with data types and objects where we couldn't search our recipies but this was easily fixed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the database to post and being able to collaborate on PowerApps.

What we learned

Using advanced techniques to better use SQL database and how to use new PowerApps functions

What's next for DIY Kitchen Database

Expanding the database and improving the design of the GUI
