Inspiration

I got inspiration for this last year when I was seeing angel numbers everywhere and went to the subreddit Angel Numbers. People were asking questions like I saw 444 after breakup, what could it mean for me? The problem was clear: thousands of people were desperately searching Google for things like "why do I keep seeing 11:11 when I think about my ex" or "what does 222 mean after losing my job" but only finding generic, one-size-fits-all answers that didn't help their specific situation. People were literally begging strangers on Reddit for personalized interpretations because the internet failed them. Since I've no coding knowledge, I tried building this app but couldn't do it, but with Bolt.new I saw this opportunity and grabbed it. I got 25 users in just 4 days, all came from the same subreddit.

What it does

Divine Diary solves the real problem people face with angel numbers - they know these aren't coincidences but can't find answers that actually relate to their life. When someone sees 444 right after getting fired, generic websites just say "444 means stability," which feels useless and disconnected from their crisis. My app lets you log the exact number you saw, when you saw it, where you saw it, and what's happening in your life right now. Then it gives you an interpretation that makes sense for your situation. If you're going through a breakup and keep seeing 222, it won't just say "222 means balance" - it'll explain what balance might mean specifically for your relationship situation. People can finally get the personalized spiritual guidance they've been desperately searching for.

How we built it

I built this app in just 3 days using Bolt.new since I don't have any coding knowledge. The real problem I faced was that traditional app development seemed impossible for someone like me, hiring developers costs thousands, learning to code takes years, and I needed to solve this problem now for people who were struggling. Bolt.new was life-changing because it let me describe what I wanted in plain English and build a working app in just 3 days. For database first, I was using Firebase, but I was facing issues with it, so I switched to Supabase.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest channel at the initial stage was getting to understand the information available online for integrations:

  1. First, I faced a Database error, so I switched to Supabase from Firebase
  2. Later, I started facing an API error with the OpenAI API and Gemini API, so I had to use the Mistral AI API to power my app, and honestly, I am satisfied with the results so far.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting 25 users in 4 days from just posting in the Angel Numbers subreddit. No marketing, no ads, just people who had the same problem I did. Also proud that I finally built something even though I can't code.

What we learned

The biggest thing I learned is that people don't just want spiritual guidance - they're desperate for it, but they're tired of being let down by generic, unhelpful content. The Angel Numbers community showed me that millions of people are having these experiences, but have nowhere to turn for real, personalized help.

I also learned that you don't need to be a programmer to solve problems that matter. The technical barriers that stopped me for a year weren't the real barrier - it was believing I couldn't do it. Most importantly, I learned that when you solve a problem you've personally experienced, you automatically understand your users better than any market research could teach you.

What's next for Divine Diary

I am planning to improve the pattern feature where users can analyse the pattern they see and the most common angel numbers they see in an entire day or month to make a decision. I am also planning a simple community feature where people can share their most meaningful interpretations (anonymously) because I've learned that seeing how angel numbers helped others gives people confidence in their spiritual journey.

Long-term vision (Next 1-2 years): I want Divine Diary to become the go-to place for anyone experiencing spiritual signs, not just angel numbers. People also see repeating patterns in license plates, timestamps, addresses, dreams, and other synchronicities. The same problem exists everywhere - generic interpretations that don't help your specific situation.

My ultimate goal is to build the app I wish I had when I was desperately Googling "why do I keep seeing 11:11" at 2 AM.

A place where anyone can get real, personalized spiritual guidance without paying hundreds to psychics or getting useless generic answers.

I want to help millions of people understand that these experiences aren't crazy, they're meaningful, and everyone deserves to understand what their spiritual signs are trying to tell them.
