Inspiration

As a young adult, living with others can be difficult from a financial perspective. Splitting bills with others is a tedious process, calculating the rent, the internet, Venmo requesting each person and then having to track down whether they paid. We felt this system was unnecessarily complicated and there didn't exist a simple solution to our problem.

What it does

divet provides functionality by merging bill tracking, splitting calculators, and functional payment transfers.

For our project, we focused heavily on fully building out our idea and developing a product that would actually have the functionality to

Relationship it will hold with bank, for example, should it be completed by the third party or more integrated with existing bill managers, etc

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the overall concept and functionality this service can provide. Additionally, our design and UI of the app are very modern and simplistic.

What we learned

It was important to question our ideas and really ridicule how each portion of the app would work. We started by thinking big and then narrowed down our idea to be practical.

What's next for divet

Making a functional backend (which would be very simple using DB and OOP) and then converting the Figma to a functional front-end. Additionally rolling out the service and testing its functionality with bank systems.
