Inspiration

Diversitea was born out of a shared passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the corporate world. Our team recognized the need for a platform that goes beyond conventional company insights, focusing specifically on the experiences of women and individuals from diverse racial backgrounds.

What it does

Diversitea serves as a tool for making more informed decisions about companies. We provide a deep dive into essential details, shining a spotlight on diversity and inclusion aspects. When you're exploring companies, our platform lets you gather comprehensive information, enabling side-by-side comparisons. Finally Leaderboards point you towards the best companies for your needs, ensuring you find the best fit for your needs while prioritizing diversity and inclusion in your decision-making journey.

How we built it

We built Diversitea using React and Bootstrap for a user-friendly website. Flask connects everything together, making sure all parts work smoothly. We used Python and Pandas to gather and organize information, ensuring the platform is not just good-looking but also smart and efficient.

Challenges we ran into

As we worked on the project, we faced some unexpected bumps, especially dealing with new data points we didn't plan for initially. It was a bit tricky, but we turned these challenges into learning opportunities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of the highlights for us was leveling up in UI/UX design. We genuinely feel our project now stands out more than our previous ones, thanks to some cool design improvements. It's a step up that we're proud of.

What we learned

We picked up some valuable lessons on improving teamwork. Specifically, we learned how to better divide our tasks more efficiently and collaborating in a way that makes the whole process smoother. Recognizing the significance of these strategies, we've integrated them into our workflow, ensuring better coordination and productivity within the team.

Looking forward, we've got big plans for Diversitea. We want to include more companies in our data and dig up more info to make our project even better. The goal is to keep growing and making Diversitea a useful and evolving platform.
