DistributedMobile central server delegates tasks to devices connected to the same network. Flixible and Robust API to run highly parallelised code on a large number of devices

How we built it

DistributedMobile central server delegates tasks to devices connected to the same network. Flixible and Robust API to run highly parallelised code on a large number of devices. Vertx, Sock.js was used for Remote procedure calls.

Challenges we ran into

Compiling and runnning .java files natively on android

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting Open JDK 1.7 to run natively on Android using Java Native Interface.

What we learned

Java annotation Processing, Socket Programming, Remote procedure calls, Distributed Computing

What's next for DistributedMobile

Large Scale deployment in public Wi-Fi hotspots to help in large calculations like DNA Sequencing, Crypto-Currency mining, weather prediction etc.
