Distraction Redirect

Inspiration

When working on schoolwork, I get distracted a lot and tend to go to other tabs to distract myself from work.

What it does

When someone is studying, they can turn on the extension and any time the user tries to open a new tab it will redirect them to a YouTube video that tells them to get back to work.

How we built it

I used ChatGPT to help me with errors that I ran into while building it.

Challenges we ran into

It still doesn't work correctly on chrome.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of how much I've learned during this hackathon.

What we learned

I learned how to create a chrome extension and use it in developer mode on chrome.

What's next for Distraction Redirect

It's not yet working so I want to continue working to finish the project.
