Inspiration
The Distillery District in Toronto with historical buildings.
What it does
This is a game about how to make whiskey in the old distillery district. Following the process of whiskey-making with manual labor, you have to find out the perfect formula to make the best whiskey.
How we built it
We built the game using pygame with user interaction, state machines, and GUIs. Furthermore, the scores were evaluated through different measures of success (ex. Gaussian Radial Basis)
Challenges we ran into
Learning pygame and general problems of game development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We each learned new tools and new concepts. We included collision detection, manual gradient formulas, and had members in the first hackathon. None of us were familiar with PyGame and so being able to create something with it was really cool!
What we learned
We learned how to use pygame to make a python game
What's next for Distillery Whiskey Maker
Using additional RBF to have a more robust scoring system. Including a story of progression to bring it from the past to the modern time
