One of the individuals on the team is interested in bio-information technologies. We wanted to represent data in some fashion and we decided we wanted to attempt to find correlation between diseases and when they would be cured based on the amount of funded research is being done on the disease.
Using a block mathematical model, we have collected a few diseases that are already cured(measles, polio, typhoid, etc) to generate a general curve for grading uncured diseases with similar funding models. If the disease in question doesn't fit our model it won't be cured in the foreseeable future.(according to our model)
If you would like a full mathematical rundown of the library and are wondering how to implement it into your social hack, visit our booth and we will be happy to give you a rundown of what we did over the weekend to add some extra spice to some more mathematical hacks.
