Inspiration
In the Philippines, a lot of people earn extra income as affiliate sellers on TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada. The sellers who win are the ones with great product photos and videos. But hiring a model or a photographer costs money most small sellers don't have. AI image tools can do it, but most people get bad results because they don't know how to write the right prompt. I wanted to give sellers the prompts that actually work, so they can create pro looking content on their own.
What it does
DiskarteLab is a set of AI prompt tools for affiliate marketers. You choose what you want to make, fill in a few options, and it gives you a ready to paste prompt for ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok.
It has six tools:
Virtual Try-On puts your product on a model, from shirts and dresses to shoes, bags, watches and caps
Product Ad Images creates cinematic product placement ads
Multi-Angle Prompts shows your product from different angles, plus ideas for animations
T-Shirt Mockup makes shirt mockups without needing a template
Esports Shirt creates full sublimation jersey mockups
Course Blueprint gives you a full workflow to turn this into a steady income
For Virtual Try-On, you can pick the camera angle, background, lighting and what to keep the same, like the model's face, pose, skin tone or hair. There's also a "Fix Bad Results" guide for when the AI doesn't get it right the first time.
How we built it
It's a lightweight web app deployed on Vercel. Instead of running the AI itself, DiskarteLab builds detailed prompts tuned for each AI platform, since each one handles images differently. Gemini uses Google Imagen, ChatGPT uses its own image generation, and Grok uses xAI Aurora. Sellers paste the prompt into the AI they already use, so there's no API cost and no account needed.
Challenges we ran into
Every AI image tool behaves differently. A prompt that works great on Gemini can give strange results on ChatGPT. I tested a lot of prompts across platforms to find what keeps the product looking accurate, especially keeping the same face and body when swapping outfits. Making all those options simple enough for non techy sellers was another challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Sellers can now make model photos and ads that look professional without hiring anyone. And because it teaches through prompts, users actually learn how to work with AI instead of just pressing a button.
What we learned
Most bad AI images come from bad prompts, not bad AI. Small details like camera angle, lighting and telling the AI what not to change make a huge difference. I also learned how differently each AI platform understands the same instructions.
What's next for DiskarteLab
More product types and backgrounds, prompts for short product videos, and Taglish guides so beginners can follow along easily.
