Disease recognition by symptoms

Inspiration

Disease recognizer is not only for the ordinary people but also for the people who work in medical field or related to medical field somehow because you can enter how you feeling right now and it will provide you the list of diseases which contains those symptoms.

What it does

Project focuses on finding a disease by searching for its symptoms, you just have to search for symptoms like 'muscle pain', 'headache', and it will display the diseases which contains those symptoms.

How i built it

the main part of the project contains building a searchable database on Elastic Search and integrating it with the React app.

Challenges i ran into

One of the biggest challenge which we are still facing is the Dataset of diseases and its symptoms, there are lot of duplicate elements in Dataset so it makes it hard to get a list of disease.

What i learned

i learned about how to create search engine using elastic, also got much information about json files.

What's next for Disease recognition by symptoms

As of now the design of the website is not really well prepared but in future i am going to work on its design as well as improving the Dataset of the project
