Inspiration

Going into this hackathon, our three coworkers wanted to build something that could help people, even if just a little bit. We also wanted to learn a lot about making a web application, so when we saw the Toyota challenge, we thought it was a match made in heaven.

What it does

Our short 2-minute quiz will help you narrow down Toyota's extensive inventory of vehicles and trims and make a decision about which Toyota to build.

How we built it

We built it using HTML and CSS for the frontend and javascript for the backend. We stored data in a .json file for each toyota vehicle to help filter and present results.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge we found was finding something everyone could do at the same time. Some researched while others built the front end, and our backend developer had to wait for most of the front end to be set up before he could start working on the backend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how short and simple our quiz is and how easy we've made it for users to process results.

What we learned

We learned how to make a presentable front-end application and how to connect it with the backend

What's next for Discover Toyota

What's next for us is just more learning and making what we have more expandable to other brands, challenges, and making it even easier for consumers to find what they need.
