Inspiration

Going back and forth to google to search different places seems to be hectic. Hence ,I present you a one stop solution for all the problems that tourist faces when they visits to Nepal. This app was inspire from visit Nepal 2020 to make the experience of the tourists more comfy.

What it does

This app lets user find different tourist destinations of Nepal. This app comes with a lot of features such as map ,weather and description about different places ,eventually helping tourist while Navigating to different places all over the Nepal. Not only that, the app has emergency number of hospital, Police and certain government offices which tends to help tourist in case they are in trouble. Discover Nepal App also has features that helps tourist in knowing the different festivals ,foods of the Nepalese People. This app also has authentication features, as well as users can provide feedbacks and suggest places they want to know. And, to store the feedbacks data I have used firebase. Different tourism places has been categorized according to the seven states of Nepal.

How we built it

I used Flutter UI Framework and Dart Programming language to create this app. As well as, for the backend I have used Firebase.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

There are literally no tourism app made for the Nepal which has this many features in play store. So, creating a tourism app by targeting the Nepal was a unique accomplishments in itself. Not only that, it has map and weather features which cannot be found in any other tourism app.

What we learned

While Creating this app I learned to integrate APIs in Flutter. Also, my skills of dart programming language was improved to some extent .I also learned to integrate the map features in the app.

What's next for Discover Nepal

Next, I want to integrate hotel API with the sole motive of helping the tourist in finding the hotels near them while they are travelling. Also ,I will be publishing the app in the play store
