Inspiration

Reddit, every Redditor knows the mematic watermark. Through our love and hate relationship with it , we were inspired to make a meme maker of our own.

What it does

The "Discord MEME Maker" allows you to make your own custom memes. First select your image, then insert your own quotes.

How we built it

We first made a discord bot, and programmed it in pycharm-- and atom. We learned the basics from online, and then gave it our best shot at it.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was when we decided that we wanted to add the texts on top of the image, this way the meme will look more like a meme. In order to solve this, we used "pillow," and wrote texts on top of the image. The problem was that it some of the words were getting cut off when it reached the side of the screen

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were almost able to solve our problems above^, but im proud that we came up with an "O.K" solution to the problem. Im also proud that not only have my partner and I not been to a "physical" hackathon before, we were still able to push through the project. Even though it isn't very good, we gave it our very best, and im proud of it :) .
