Inspiration
We were inspired by the other great discord bots. Bots such as Rythm or MEE6 have created a legacy and have helped discord QOL.
What it does
A multitude of functions (see https://antonilic.com/help.html) TLDR: basic discord commands for mental health + cats!
How we built it
We built this in VScode.
Challenges we ran into
Our group does not have many programming languages that we are all proficient in. Additionally, this is the first hackathon for every member of our group. As such, we decided to use an easy language to learn. And thus a few of our group members had to learn python in a span of a couple of days.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we managed to make a working final project. Also, $cat which generates cats (very cute!). I personally am proud that I learnt (rather basic) git within a couple of days. :joy:
What we learned
During this process, we have learnt Python, however, the most valuable things that we have learnt are the following:
Generally how a hackathon proceeds. We will take this into account for our next hackathon, and improve upon our time management skills.
How to work on a program as a team. My entire group has not really done a big collaborative project. As such, this was quite a positive experience for all of us.
What's next for Discord bot (mental health) Stormhacks2022
Once storm hacks end I will implement some music features.
