This is a Discord bot used to get information regarding the challenges and other information currently going on in MLH Global Hack Week.

What it does

This bot provides information about the ongoing challenge in Global Hack Week by scraping content from the challenges page and other links related to MLH. It has 4 commands:

  1. /ghw

  2. /challenges

  3. /link

  4. /mlhyt

How I built it

I watched the tutorial of Jaklyn in the GHW Day1 and implemented the concepts and modified it . It uses Discord API and Crawler API integrations and uses Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

Since, It was my first time creating a discord bot, It was difficult to grasp all the concepts at once but I learnt the basics and implemented it and I am also new to javascript so looking forward to implement all the concepts and enhance it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It was my first time and I built quite a decent bot, so I am proud of it.

What we learned

Learnt about JS 2d arrays , API integrations, CSS class implementations using Query selectors.

What's next for Discord Bot for Global Hack Week

I will enhance it more but for now it is great as it provides the list of daily challenges.
