Inspiration

Our aim was to develop a solution to the mobility problems faced during the various disasters like navigation to safe an friendly relief camps, access to relief material, and easy yet fast access to emergency services like fire stations, ambulances, etc.

What it does

The app gives us the information(location) about the nearest fire stations which in turn speeds up the relief operations.

How we built it

We used LOCATION API and ROUTING and NAVIGATION API of HERE , and Android Studio (technologies include java, xml ) for the app development.

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge was getting familiar with the API's.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we accomplished the task for a single use case, through which we can then work on the remaining use cases.

What we learned

Getting familiar with various API's of HERE was the best part.

What's next for DisasterManagement

For future scope, we will try to personalize the solution,i.e. the relief provided for example, the relief camp according to the person's requirements (pregnant lady would prefer to be relocated somewhere near a hospital and so on) .
