Inspiration
What it does
The inspiration for Teclon Tech came from the devastating impact of recent disasters — in 2024 alone, losses reached $280B (UNDRR data). Many of these losses were worsened by slow, fragmented response systems. During my research, I discovered that response time is directly proportional to survival rates in disaster zones: Throughout this project, I deepened my understanding of:
Edge computing for offline processing in disaster zones.
AI algorithms such as LSTM for predictive modeling and YOLOv7 for computer vision damage assessment.
Quantum-resistant encryption for securing disaster-response data pipelines.
Global coordination frameworks with agencies like FEMA, GDACS, and ASEAN Disaster Centers.
