Inspiration

Agriculture Production Commissioner of Telangana C. Parthasarathi has suggested the elimination of middlemen in the agriculture value chain and their replacement by farmer producer organizations (FPOs) as business entities in a collective manner is very much desired for the enhancement of income of farmers.

What it does

Helps Farmers to sell their products directly to customers for a better price.

How we built it

We developed this application through a different approach where in this application there is no need of creating a case for searching and adding products each and every time. we achieved this with the help of the harness rule type.

Challenges we ran into

As we are new to Pega, we didn't have much idea about the portal customization and where the data gets saved while using only harnesses.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

From the first, we only learned about creating an application only by creating case types, but for this application, we have chosen a different approach, and we are successful in implementing it.

What we learned

We mainly learned about clipboard(pyDisplayHarness), Various DataTransforms, and the use of Live UI and Tracer tools for debugging errors in the application.

What's next for DirectFarms

We can integrate with government API so that the Market price gets directly displayed and can take it further by developing a mobile application.
