Inspiration
What inspired me for doing my world is deciding what would kids love and the first thing that came out of my mind is Dinosaurs. Who doesn't love dinosaurs. Wanted to make something fun and cool that kids will love.
What it does
Collect all the coins you can before t-rex gets you and eats you. Buy better weapons to help you advance more by killing dinosaurs and can get more coins. See who can get the most coins in one run and who can last the longest.
How we built it
I did everything on my own. I started making some dinosaurs models first. When I had all the dinosaurs that I wanted I then started making them move and walk. Then was the world and the world mechanics. And lastly connecting everything together.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge that I had Is fixing all the bugs I had on my own scripts. Also having the right time for execution of dinosaurs when they should start moving. Oh and in the beginning palning what exactly what kind of game I was going to do, which took me one week to decide what exactly to do with dinosaurs. Other than that I didn't had any challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm actually proud of how everything came out together. I'm proud of my whole game. Also proud that I was able to finish the game in time. In the end it felt awesome how everything came out especially how i was able to make the dinosaurs move.
What we learned
I learn that i have to have a real plan in the beginning to be able to start something and have the motivation to finish it. Learned that it might be faster is i had a team meta helping out but i wanted to do everything on my own.
What's next for Dino Rush
If I had more time I would make everything look a little better. Maybe add more different dinosaurs. Add power ups that will give you speed boost. Also to have more guns to choose from. Try and make the dinosaurs animation better and more realistic.
