What it does

Dinerosaurus is a gamified stock market simulator featuring a unique backtester and a dynamic newsfeed that influences stock movements.

How we built it

We built the backend with Python and FastAPI, and the frontend with React.js.

Challenges we ran into

Some team members were new to React, and this was most of our first hackathons, so there was a steep learning curve to get everything working together.

Accomplishments we're proud of

We pushed through late nights—staying up until 5 AM—to finish the project on time!

What we learned

We learned how to leverage version control effectively and how to collaborate efficiently while working in the same directory.

What's next for Dinerosaurus

We plan to integrate real-money transactions and expand the simulator’s capabilities to make the experience even more immersive.
