What's next for Digital Vinyl
Moving forward in this project, we would like to create a web application that allows anyone to create a Digital Vinyl for any audio they would like. Users would also be able to decode an uploaded image back into an audio file. We also see a potential to create Digital Vinyl NFTs, where people could buy our Images as NFTs and use our website to convert them into audio files.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The finished product looks amazing, and it was awesome to see all of our hard work show up inside the medium of an image. A lot of the times the results of a programmers algorithm can be visually underwhelming, like how we might spend 10 hours speeding up a program by 8% and the result is a final calculation that shaves off 300 ms. In this project, we can change parameters like scalars, background images, song choices, and algorithm types to produce wacky yet functional images.
