๐Ÿš€ Inspiration

Even with a big exam looming, I couldnโ€™t resist the urge to join this hackathon. Thanks to Bolt.new โšก, the development process was incredibly fast and smooth, so much so that I could jump between multiple ideas effortlessly.

I finally decided to revisit a problem Iโ€™m exploring in my PhD research ๐ŸŽ“. I had already built a much more sophisticated version of this tool over several months... but itโ€™s honestly mind-blowing how I was able to recreate the core idea here using just a single prompt โœจ. I really wish Bolt existed when I first started this work; it wouldโ€™ve saved me countless hours!

๐Ÿง  What It Does

A Digital Twin is a virtual copy of a physical system, used to optimize and simulate real-world operations. For example, a power plant โšก can use a digital twin to plan power generation, simulate emergencies, and more, without disrupting the physical system.

But when multiple Digital Twins start interacting, things get tricky. One of the biggest questions becomes: Can they trust each other? ๐Ÿค

Thatโ€™s where the Digital Twin Trust Analyser comes in. It evaluates the trustworthiness of a Digital Twin based on five key categories. Each Twin shares its API endpoint (since that's how they communicate), and we analyze it based on:

๐Ÿ” Security โ€“ Prevents unauthorized access and ensures data integrity.

โœ… Reliability โ€“ Measures service stability and consistency.

๐Ÿ”„ Resilience โ€“ Assesses fallback options if the main API fails.

๐Ÿค” Uncertainty & Dependability โ€“ Helps judge the confidence in future interactions.

๐ŸŽฏ Goal Alignment โ€“ Evaluates how well the Twin supports shared system goals.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ How We Built It

This project came together effortlessly with:

โšก Bolt.new โ€“ The MVP of rapid prototyping

๐Ÿงฉ Supabase โ€“ For hassle-free database integration

๐ŸŒ Netlify โ€“ To deploy the app in minutes

๐Ÿง—โ€โ™‚๏ธ Challenges We Ran Into

For this Digital Twin Trust Analyser project, I faced minimal challenges thanks to the simplicity and power of Bolt.new โœจ.

However, some of my other project ideas did bring a fair share of hurdles, especially when working with:

๐Ÿงฑ Algorand โ€“ Dynamic smart contract deployment proved to be tricky and required some deep digging.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Expo (React Native) โ€“ I ran into compatibility issues when trying to integrate with services like Firebase and other web3 components.

Despite these challenges, I pushed through and ended up creating something Iโ€™m proud to share with the entire community ๐Ÿ™Œ.

๐Ÿ† Accomplishments We're Proud Of

Building this project with a single prompt blew my mind ๐Ÿคฏ. It was like compressing months of effort into hours. Massive credit to Bolt and the amazing hackathon webinars ๐ŸŽฅ that levelled up my prompting skills!

๐Ÿ“š What We Learned

Creating a solid proof of concept has never been this easy. A few years ago, even making a simple prototype took days. Now, in just a few hours, we can build something functional and impressive.

The future is scary, but beautiful, with the possibilities it brings. ๐ŸŒŒ

๐Ÿ”ฎ What's Next for Digital Twin Trust Analyser

My PhD research continues, and this analyser is just one part of a larger vision. Iโ€™m planning to build a simulation environment where Digital Twins exhibit different behaviours, and the analyser will help detect and assess them.

This tool will be incredibly useful for presenting my work and sharing my findings in a tangible way. And yes, Bolt will be a big part of that journey too ๐Ÿš€.
