  Types of photo albums

Inspiration

Most photo-sharing apps allow you to create photo albums in the form of Slider. I then wondered why do take advantage of current web standards to offer users the ability to create 3D photo albums?. This is where the idea for me to create this project was born.

What it does

The app is a social media that allows users to create photo albums and view/interact with those of other users. Users can choose between 5 types of photo albums: Slider, Book, Caroussel, Cube and Pyramid.

How I built it

The front-end part is developed with the Angular framework. The backend part is developed with the Nodejs framework.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge for me was finding the JS lib that would allow me to offer users an image cropping tool, regardless of the type of photo album. The app allows to create an album of 6 photos and the second difficulty was to minimize the size of the data to be uploaded to the server. For this, I had to find a way to compress each of the photos.

What I learned

I learned a lot about CSS 3D and front-end image management. I also learned a lot about API security.
