Inspiration

Planning events—whether corporate, social, or personal—often involves juggling multiple tools: invites on WhatsApp, RSVPs via Google Forms, and check-ins using spreadsheets. We wanted a single platform that could simplify all this with elegance and efficiency. The idea for Digital Invyt was born out of the need for a seamless, modern, and user-friendly invitation and event management system that works for all event types.

What it does

Digital Invyt lets users create beautifully designed event invitations with:

  • Custom event pages with rich content blocks (schedule, gallery, speakers, FAQs)
  • RSVP management with status tracking
  • Secure guest access via unique or password-protected links
  • QR code-based check-in system for event entry
  • Real-time analytics for hosts to monitor engagement and attendance ## How we built it
  • Frontend: React with TailwindCSS for a responsive and elegant UI
  • Backend: Node.js and Supabase for authentication, data storage, and real-time features
  • Database: Supabase Postgres with Row Level Security for guest access control
  • QR Code System: Server-side generation and client-side scanning for check-ins
  • Analytics: Page views, RSVP stats, and check-in counts powered by Supabase and custom hooks
  • Hosting: Netlify for frontend deployment, Supabase for backend ## Challenges we ran into
  • Designing a no-login guest access system that’s still secure
  • Managing edge cases like duplicate invites, invalid QR scans, or last-minute guest changes
  • Building a customizable yet intuitive content block editor for event pages
  • Ensuring mobile responsiveness and load performance under variable network conditions ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
  • A working end-to-end event lifecycle flow from invite creation to post-event analytics
  • QR-based guest check-in directly from the browser—no app needed
  • Beautiful, shareable event pages that people actually enjoy browsing
  • Support for both personal and professional events, with enterprise readiness in mind ## What we learned
  • How important frictionless UX is, especially for guests who don’t want to sign up
  • The value of modular design when building a platform that serves varied use cases
  • Real-world complexities of data protection, link security, and QR-based access control ## What's next for Digital Invyt
  • Template Marketplace: Pre-made designs for weddings, conferences, product launches, etc.
  • Multilingual support: Make invites more inclusive across regions
  • Photo & Video Gallery Uploads: From hosts or even guests post-event
  • Premium features: White-labeling, domain mapping, and analytics exports
  • Mobile App (optional): For organizers to manage guest check-ins and real-time stats on the go

Digital Invyt is just getting started, and we’re excited to build a platform that redefines how people experience invitations and events—digitally.
