Inspiration
Horse racing is a huge market and I was fascinated about finding a way to develop a synthetic horse betting marketplace. Chainlink VRF provisioned the technical guarantees in order for us to achieve randomness, consequently enabling a fair, honest marketplace for participants to take part in.
What it does
We built a virtual horse racing betting platform that enables users to gamble on horse races, powered by Chainlink.
How we built it
Solidity, Ethereum, Chainlink VRF, and most importantly the wisdom from Patrick Collins
Challenges we ran into
--had to pivot to Chainlink VRF 2.5 which uses a different subscription call from 64bit to 256bit, so the contract would not compile, and had to reformat everything to adhere to Chainlink VRF 2.5 spec.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Substantial progress over a short period of time, we created the functionality needed at the core of our system, and successfully integrated Chainlink VRF
What we learned
-Integrating Chainlink VRF -Updated Solidity language
What's next for Digital Horse Betting Marketplace
-integrate CCIP -upgrade UI -launch promotional media with dry creek wrangler
Built With
- chainlink
- chainlinkautomation
- chainlinkvrf
- ethereum
- solidity
