Inspiration
The art world is changing. While VR art exists, it is confined to doodles in the real world or art in an artificial space. We want to make the world your canvas while allowing artists to drive change.
What it does
An artist can be anywhere in the world when inspiration strikes. With Digital Graffiti, they can take a geotagged 360 photo of their inspiration, head home, and use their preferred VR art tool to create a beautiful or meaningful work. Through Digital Graffiti, they can submit their work so any art lover with the app can see the artwork exists through a map, and view the work in augmented reality. The art is paired with information from the artist about their inspiration behind the work, and if they're an activist, information about causes and issues that tie in with the work. Users can engage with the work through by contributing micro-activist actions; learning about the artist, learning about the cause/issue, donating to a related cause, and sharing on their social media. Many micro-activist actions can lead to many different movements driven by artists.
How I built it
The VR side was built using Oculus, the AR side was prototyped using Unity.

What's next for Digital Graffiti
We believe this unique use of existing technologies and innovation within virtual reality and consumer access through augmented reality, real change can happen in reality.
