Inspiration
We wanted to create a modern and secure diary to record memories and address mental health concerns.
What it does
The app acts as a personal digital diary that can add tags for emotions, activities and locations related to each entry. Then the app can send reminders every now and then, to remind you of good or bad days.
How we built it
We started off by building the wireframe and then proceeded to use web development tools to create a web page.
Challenges we ran into
Our team consists of some new developers. One challenge was bridging the major learning gap between what little we knew and what was required for the project. We were able to overcome this by being patient, enthusiastic and reasonable with the goals we set.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the current user interface that set us up to almost attaining the minimum viable product we specified initially.
What we learned
For most of us, this was our first hackathon and didn't know what to expect. Coming in with limited skills, we came out comfortable with wire framing and web development.
What's next for Digital Diary
We plan on implementing AI to recognize mental health symptoms early on.
