Inspiration

We took inspiration from two games, Inside and Limbo.

What it does

This is a 2D platformer game in Roblox. The player is out to fight evil robots and navigate through the metallic matrix.

How we built it

We used Roblox Studio which utilizes the Lua programming language, and we built the map with geometric parts and assets in the studio's toolbar.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into was dealing with the syntax of Lua because we aren't really familiar with Lua in general and the specifics of how it works in Roblox. Also, Roblox Studio kept crashing and we lost many saves in the modeling of the map and scripts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

For using a studio that kept crashing every hour, we're proud that the game has a variety of features and interactions.

What we learned

We learned how features in Roblox are managed in the studio. We also learned syntactical code that connects to the in-game models in order to create an event. Also, that we should not have used Roblox Studio when Blox Fruits is getting a major update.

What's next for Digital Breakout

For the future of Digital Breakout, we can add more levels and maybe center the game around a storyline.
