DigiSanskriti helps in bridging the gap between past culture and present tech. This website allows us to explore various culture and tradition of India through interactive features.
Inspiration : In the present generation, almost no one is aware of our past cultural beliefs, not even the basic things. Arising Gen-Z generation has completely eroded our tradition. So, this inspired us to create a platform through which people can learn our culture along with the entertainment.
What it does : our website DigiSanskriti is a platform which glorifies users with an impressively designed website. Here, our we've come with 2 main motives - educating the present generation about our tradition along with some games and entertaining factors. By this, people will get deep insights into our tradition. It also has great Indian dance forms from every state in India, so that users get knowledge of a particular dance form and it's speciality. The website also includes a 3D view of various monuments in India so that users will get a clean view from all degrees. It helps tourists in finding them a way through maps and a complete tour guide. Users can also place an order for products that have a true traditional value. This ensures that our website / platform is not only limited to local-centric regions but also covers various places overall India.
How we built it : We first started with basic coding for creation of user Id's. Than , we made our home page and divided our content into various categories like Monuments | Artisan marketplace | Cultural dance forms | Culture/Tradition. Than, we uploaded videos and photos from open free sources , than for implementing interactive features and for back-end development we took help of some AI tools. Than, we made UI/UX designing in Figma.
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of : We're really proud that we are some what contributing to our nation in our own possible way. We're giving knowledge for thousands along with the entertainment which does not make them feel boring. And we made it possible and proved many that everytime learning is not boring, it's enthusiastic too..! Through this website , we've helped so many small businessmen in rural areas by collaborating with them. Due to piracy, lots of small businessmen are facing losses, so by collaborating with them we'll ensure that they are not in loss and side by side balancing our marketplace.
What we learned : By this project we have learned many things about our culture and tradition and while developing web page sections we came across many different things that we weren't aware of- be it monuments or handicrafts. We've have also learnt that it's not as simple as it looks to educate our Gen-Z about past culture. so, keeping that in mind we've designed our website with much more practicality and engaging.
What's next for DigiSanskriti : In future we're thinking of adding many more features into it. we're about to integrate AR/VR under monuments section so that users get a complete view of the place and if they can't travel long way ,they'll get an experience of virtual view of that particular monument. Than, we thought of collaborating with more sectors as much as possible since we need to cover larger areas. Than we can also have a tutoring session in this platform both live and recorded for learning dance forms and classical Indian music.
