Inspiration

The idea for DigiFit was born out of the everyday struggle of deciding what to wear. Many people find it challenging to organize their wardrobe, mix and match outfits, and explore new styles. We wanted to create a tool that not only helps users manage their clothing but also leverages AI to suggest outfits based on personal preferences, tags, and filters.

What it does

DigiFit allows users to:

  • Create outfits to find your style, your way.
  • Upload clothing items from their wardrobe.
  • Generate AI-powered outfit suggestions based on styles, weather, and user preferences.
  • Lock in favorite pieces and let the app style the rest.

How we built it

DigiFit was developed using:

  • Next.js & React – For a dynamic and interactive frontend.
  • Tailwind CSS – To create a sleek and responsive design.
  • AI Integration – Utilizing huggingface transformers to identify user-uploaded pieces of clothing.

Challenges we ran into

  • AI Accuracy – Using CLIP on AI suggestions to make them truly useful and stylish.
  • Responsive UI – Making sure DigiFit works seamlessly, unfinished.
  • Database Management- We unfortunately ran out of time to implement the backend database system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Creating a user-friendly experience with smooth navigation and interactivity.
  • Implementing AI to process an image and return descriptions based on style, color and item.

What we learned

  • The importance of efficient image handling for a seamless user experience.
  • New languages and frameworks.
  • New ways to improve personalization by using tags and filters dynamically.

What's next for DigiFit

  • Smart Closet Integration – Sync DigiFit with real-life wardrobe inventory.
  • Weather-Based Recommendations – Suggest outfits based on live weather updates.
  • Social Sharing & Collaboration – Let users share outfit ideas with friends.
  • Filter outfits by tags (e.g., casual, formal, summer, winter) to find the perfect combination.
  • Save outfits for future inspiration.
