Inspiration

Technology is focused on making life comfortable for humans nowadays. This technological advancement should not only aid general people but should also be focused on aiding a special group of people who may or may not be able to use various technological resources available. Thus, we propose this application called ‘Differences’ to celebrate the various groups of people and help ease their lives by providing necessary features to the people according to their specific needs.

What it does

Features like text-to-speech, speech-to-text, object detection, sign language, and hardware integration with software that allow blind people to operate their hardware through a mobile click.

How we built it

First, the blueprint of the project was constructed. Then according to that, the team members were allotted the work. Going one by one the features were implemented. The UI and logo of the app were designed. Database connectivity and firebase authentication were established. Step by step, the project was completed

Challenges we faced

The challenges that we face may be nothing compared to what people with disabilities face. Still, The toughest challenge was to integrate hardware and software together into an app. Connecting to firebase and extracting the details was little challenging.

What we learned

We learned to implement, TensorFlow, OpenCV library, firebase database, TTS library, and many more in the domain of AI ML. Apart from technical knowledge, teamwork and communication skills were enhanced.

What's next for Differences

A voice assistant can be added. Many more features like read aloud, and navigation can be added. That would really aid and support the idea of one application for all.
