DIF TBD KCC

Inspiration

We were inspired by the potential of decentralized identity to empower individuals and protect their privacy.

What it does

Our project leverages Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs) to create a secure and privacy-preserving solution for Known Customer Credentials (KCC).

How we built it

We leveraged TBD Tech's powerful tools and infrastructure to develop our KCC solution.

Challenges we ran into

Given VC-Protocol dosen't support latest @web5/api package. The VC-Protocol requires an older version (0.11.0) because Alice’s DWN has Protocol with older version. We leveraged insights from the TBD Discord community to navigate this challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully developed a functional KCC system that meets the requirements of the TBD challenge. We are particularly proud to learn innovative approach to managing DID, VC, KCC, which ensures the integrity of the system.

What we learned

Through this project, we gained valuable insights into the intricacies of decentralized identity and the challenges associated with building secure and scalable systems. We gained a deeper understanding of the TBD DWN Tech Stack.

What's next for DIF TBD KCC

We will also continue to enhance our solution's & add user experience to it and explore new use cases within the decentralized identity space.
