Inspiration

There is a reason we call it Diego, we met him at an event in Miami, he is a middleman broker in the transportation industries who handles logistics for companies like Costco, Whole foods etc. He shared his pain points -

  1. Not able to reach out and convert more clients and expand their companies operation.
  2. Bogged down by calls from truckers.

So we decided to help our friend Diego.

What it does

Its an AI agent on steroids for middlemen brokers in transportation industry. It helps them 10x their conversion rate when reaching out to producers and manage a large network of truckers. It does it by integrating an AI native CRM, specifically helping them do find ideal clients, automated background deep search on each of those clients and then send them automated emails and track those emails. It also has an automated voice agent that handles all the calls from truckers and routes them to people like Diego if needs escalation. The agent has access to over 100 tools that run in parallel based on need and also know everything about the brokers company like their lane routes, certifications, past clients etc.

How we built it

Tech Stack:

Langgraph for multi agent orchestration, Celery + Redis for handling background tasks async to not block the main server. Base44 for frontend help Supabase for database, FastAPI for backend server, NextJS/tailwind + Base44 for frontend, VapiAI for voice agents AgentMail to create inboxes for our AI agent (allows our agent to send, reply, read, draft emails)

Challenges we ran into

  1. Integrating LangGraph natively with celery and async services and binding tools to our llm clients.
  2. Avoiding sleep :)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to seamlessly connect what we all as team members -- frontend, backend, database, data mining/scraping and sanitization.

What we learned

How to run a sprint and build production ready software in 2 days.

What's next for DiegoAI

We are going to scale to B2B brokers in the Miami area and then Florida.
