Inspiration
Tug of war with a unique twist is the main inspiration. Adding the fiery elements makes the game more intense, exciting, and risky.
What it does
Two teams, blue and red, battle to push the opponent’s wall into a pit of fire. The more fuel collected, the faster the wall moves, increasing the intensity of the gameplay.
How we built it
The world was created entirely using TypeScript scripts, VR and desktop editor. All models were designed, textured, and prepared for seamless import into the Horizon Worlds application. Mobile compatibility was also prioritized during the development process.
Challenges we ran into
Switching from the Horizon Worlds scripting language to TypeScript posed a steep learning curve. Additionally, learning how to design, texture, and import models in to the desktop editor presented significant challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The game’s unique aesthetics and innovative concept are standout achievements. It offers a fresh, original experience unlike anything seen before in Horizon Worlds.
What we learned
We gained experience using TypeScript in Horizon Worlds, as well as the tools for building, texturing, and importing models in to the desktop editor.
What's next for Fire Fight
Future updates will include adding more interactive objects and immersive sound effects to enhance the overall player experience.
