We lost all our project story last minute T_T
Inspiration
With the recent down turn in the stock market, people are more worried and insecure than ever. The main reason people stay away from investing is due to the fear of losing all their assets. To help with investment confidence, we build a website that helps people predict future stock trends based on past media sentiment and comparing their prediction to the actual event.
What it does
the Diamond Stocks website picks a few big companies and generates 3 random questions about their stock history. The user can guess what happened during the time and if the stock decreased or increased. The user can also choose to invest or not in the situation and gain/lose money from the situation depending on what the actual outcome was. The user is also able to view their history that is visualized with a graph.
How we built it
We built it using Recat.JS for the frontend and created multiple components and routes for it. We also used Node.js and Express for the backend and used PostgreSQL to store the data. Finally, we used Gemini API to get random questions and answers for the questions. We also used React Hooks and POST/GET requests, which we used Postman to test
