Inspiration

Neuromusculoskeletal disorders require constant therapy and monitoring for tangible rehabilitative outcomes. However, patients afflicted with movement-related disorders must move towards medical sites to access valuable diagnostics and treatments, an ironic approach towards movement-related rehabilitation. Therefore, personal, at-home diagnostic devices present a solution for recording valuable patient data and assessing constant monitoring and rehabilitation for patient-physician communication.

What it does

Using a Leap Motion device, DiagnOsteo takes pose estimated data and processes tremor variance to diagnose musculoskeletal anomalies as compared to healthy patient datasets. The apparatus also features modular components that allow for rehabilitative exercises and assessments. For example, DiagnOsteo is capable of assessing visual stimulus-driven reaction tests with the NKK switch.
