Inspiration
Have you ever received a diagnosis and had no clue how to manage your treatment? For many people with diabetes, there is a learning curve until one learns how to best manage their blood sugar. For older individuals with diabetes, it is often difficult to remember how to manage your blood sugar, even if you have being doing it for years. This website will help these populations better manage their treatment and gain a better understanding of their blood sugar levels.
What it does
The user can select a range that their blood sugar value is in that they received from their dexcom or like apparatus. The website will redirect them to a page that will give them suggestions on how to raise or lower their blood sugar if needed.
How we built it
I used the VS Code application, with html and css.
Challenges we ran into
I have never used any of this software, up to this point I only had a very basic understanding of Java
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Honestly just that the website worked. Ive never done anything like this so Im glad I gave it a try.
What we learned
I learned how to do basic level html and css code. I also learned more about diabetes when I was researching for the information to put on the website.
What's next for Diabetes Tips
I would like to consult with one of my diabetic family members, and get their siggestions on how to make the website more helpful.
